Aftercare
Expect mild redness, swelling, and a temporary frosted appearance over the treated area — all normal and short-lived. Keep the dressing on for the first few hours as instructed by your operator. Once removed, leave the area clean and dry. Apply a thin layer of the recommended ointment two to three times daily. Use a cold compress (wrapped, never direct ice) in 10-minute intervals if you need relief from swelling or heat.
First 24 hours
Wash gently with mild soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry — never rub. Blistering, scabbing, and pinpoint bleeding can occur and are part of normal healing; do not pick, peel, or pop anything that forms. Itching is common as the skin closes; resist scratching. Continue ointment until the skin has fully closed, then switch to a fragrance-free moisturizer.
Days 2-14: Healing
For at least two weeks (or until the skin has fully healed): no swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, or prolonged baths. No high-heat workouts, steam rooms, or activities that cause heavy sweating over the area for 48 hours. No shaving, waxing, exfoliating, or scrubbing the treated site. No makeup, self-tanner, or scented products on the area.
What to avoid
The treated area is sensitive to UV exposure for several weeks. Keep it covered or shaded whenever possible. Once healed, apply SPF 30 or higher to the area every day for the duration of your removal course — sun exposure during this period can lead to pigment changes and slow your results. This is the single most important habit between sessions.
Sun & skin protection
Reach out if you experience signs of infection (spreading redness, warmth, pus, or fever), blistering that feels severe or unusual, or any reaction that worsens after 72 hours. Mild discomfort, scabbing, and temporary darkening are expected — anything beyond that, we want to know about.
When to contact us
Your body continues clearing ink for weeks after each session, which is why we space appointments 6 to 8 weeks apart. Keep the area moisturized, protected from sun, and free of friction from tight clothing or straps. Arrive to your next session with skin that's fully healed, unburned, and untanned.
