Before treatment
Before your hair or tattoo removal treatment, arrive with the area clean, free of lotions, perfumes, or makeup, and shave the hair treatment area 24 hours beforehand if instructed; for tattoo removal, avoid recent sun exposure or self-tanning for at least two weeks and keep the skin moisturized but not oily. Stop using retinoids, chemical exfoliants, and other strong topical actives on the treatment site as directed by your guardian (usually several days to a week prior), and disclose any medications or medical conditions—especially photosensitizing drugs, blood thinners, or recent isotretinoin use.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy access to the area, bring any necessary paperwork or prior treatment records, and plan for aftercare time: arrange transportation or downtime if numbing cream will be used and avoid strenuous exercise, hot tubs, and direct sun immediately after treatment. If you have any questions, contact us beforehand to confirm specific pre-treatment instructions for your skin type and the procedure.
